Long Form 1

Throughout the first section of the Form, shift into a forward bow stance on the reverse punches, which are all done at shoulder height. In this Form, we lock into the stance for form, but in later Forms and in all techniques, the forward bow is only transitory. Be sure to keep the rear heel on the ground while punching. As in Short 1, the elbow returns can also be regarded as rear elbow strikes, and all direction changes are accomplished with an inward block, as well as the primary block.

Theme: retreat with a front hand block and a rear hand counter, using neutral and forward bows.
