Short Form 3

This form exercises the 4:30-10:30 line. The major focus is grabs, the major weapon is elbows, and the
major power principle is marriage of gravity. Throughout the Technique Forms, we always do the strong side first.

Destructive Twins - Two-hand lapel grab, pulling in
1. Step forward with the R foot to 12:00 into a R neutral bow as you do a L overhead punch (palm down) with a R uppercut punch (palm up) to the stomach. Keep your back erect and head up.
2. Slide your R foot slightly to 1:00 into a R forward bow as you do a universal block (right arm up) that converts into a L vertical outward block outside of his L arm. (Double Factor Principle). As the outward block completes, do a L horizontal finger poke to his eye as your R hand cocks back to the hip.
3. Pivot to your L and drop into a horse stance facing 10:30 for a R straight thrust punch to his L ribcage. Have your L hand grab his arm pulling it diagonally and down to cancel his width and height zones. (In the form, this appears to be drawing back to your hip.)

Thrusting Wedge ? Front two-hand high push
1. Slide your R foot back into a R 45-degree cat stance facing 12:00 (transitory cat stance) as both hands pull in and up through center line to go out for claws to the eyes.  Continue on to hook both thumbs to the eyes and pull outward.

Crashing Wings - Rear bear hug with arms free.
1. Your R foot step to 3:00 into a horse stance as your elbows strike down against his forearms. As your arms pin his to your sides, have your L foot pull back into a left close cat.
2. Your L foot circles around and behind his R thigh to 7:30 into a L reverse bow.
3. Pivot into a L forward bow to 7:30 while bringing your L obscure elbow up into his face then pivot counterclockwise into a L forward bow as you do a R inward downward hammerfist to his groin. Your L arm continues to pin his R arm to the side of your body.

Twirling Wings - Rear stiff two-hand grab or choke
1. Your hands pull back to your L hip in ?cup-and-saucer? position as your R foot slides behind to begin turning to 3:00.
2. With the R foot, step to 3:00 in a R forward bow as you do a R vertical outward block to the outside of his arm simultaneously with a L inward horizontal elbow strike to his R ribcage.

Circling Wing - Rear two-hand choke with bent arms
1. Your L foot slides to 1:30 into a L neutral bow as your R arm cocks across your waist (?cup-and-saucer? on L hip).
2. Pivot clockwise to 7:30 as you circle your R elbow over and down onto his R arm. Complete the pivot into a forward bow facing 7:30 as your L hand does a four-finger thrust to his eyes.
3. Pivot in place into a R neutral bow as you deliver a R upward elbow strike to his chin. Your L hand should slide down into a pressing check to his right elbow.
4. Pivot again into a R reverse bow (don?t lean!) as you do a R hammerfist strike to his groin as your L hand switches to a high check over your R shoulder.

Crossing Talon - Front right cross wrist grab
1. Counter-grab his wrist as you pivot in place into a horse facing 4:30. Step forward with your L foot to 7:30 into a L neutral bow as you do a L inward vertical forearm strike as your R hand returns to your hip. Continue to pull his arm to your R while you press down with your L forearm.  There is a possibility of his head striking your L knee.
2. Deliver a L outward elbow strike (palm up) to his right jaw or temple.
3. While using his shoulder and back as a fulcrum for leverage, follow up with a L heel palm strike and a five finger rip to his face.  Circle your L arm clockwise and strike the upper spine with a L inward overhead elbow.

Scraping Hoof - Full nelson from behind
1. While in a full nelson and still facing 10:30, thrust both fists toward the ground as you bring your L foot over to your R, straighten your knees and arch your back and neck into a rear head butt.
2. Shoot a R back kick to his L knee, a R knife-edge kick to his R knee that scrapes down to a R stomp to his instep.
3. As you finish the stomp, reposition yourself into a horse facing 10:30, with your fists down and in front of your body.

Fatal Cross - Front two-hand push
1. Step forward with your R foot into a R neutral bow toward 10:30 as you execute simultaneous crane hooks over his arms as you pull him forward with a frictional pull.
2. Reverse the action of your hands as you do simultaneous middle-knuckle uppercuts to his floating ribs.
3. Cross your hands (R over L) over his eyes to check his arms down then recoil your hands back up for R over L  scissoring back knuckles to cheek bones.
4. Your hands cross-check his arms down again.  Recoil up again (hands still crossed) for scissoring two finger eye pokes.
Grip Of Death - Right flank headlock.
1. With your L foot, step forward to 10:30 (facing 2:30) into a horse stance as you drop your head forward and deliver simultaneously a L hammerfist to his groin with a right hammerfist to his R kidney.
2. Circle your R arm over his L shoulder and have your L fingers press under his nose with your L elbow anchored.
3. Pivot toward 4:30 into a R forward bow as you thrust a L heel palm strike to his chin, and your L arm slides down his arm to check his left arm at the elbow.
4. Your R arm circles behind your back into hammerlock position.

Locked Wing - Hammerlock
1. With opponent locking your R arm, step behind yourself with the L foot to 4:30 (facing 10:30) as your R hand counter grabs his R wrist. (Try to place your L leg inside as well as against his R leg).
2. Continuing the flow of your initial move, pivot counterclockwise into a L neutral bow facing 4:30 as you deliver a L outward elbow strike to his jaw.
3. Circle your L arm over and under his R elbow into an uppercut (to break his elbow) as you pivot clockwise to 10:30 into a R forward bow.
4. While still maintaining pressure on his R elbow, your R foot steps back to 4:30 into a L forward bow. Immediately release your R hand as you deliver a R knee strike to his chest simultaneous with double inward overhead heel palm strikes to his back or kidney.
5. Follow through by planting forward with your R foot toward 10:30 into a R neutral bow while pushing opponent off of your knee with your hands. Have both hands flow down and to the rear indicating a two-hand grab.

Crossed Twigs - Rear two-hand grab to the wrists
1. From a R neutral bow, countergrab both his wrists and pull forward as you step with the L foot toward 10:30 into a L neutral bow.
2. Pivot clockwise to face 4:30, as you cross his arms (R over L). In the process have your R elbow strike diagonally and outward his R jaw. Continue the flow so as to pull his R arm down. Have your L hand pull down below the level of your buttocks.
3. Release your R grasp and loop your R arm counterclockwise into an inward overhead elbow strike to his upper spine.
4. Release your L grip, and with both hands, execute two downward heel palm strikes to his L kidney and L ribcage. Simultaneously, deliver a L knee kick to his right ribcage.
5. Replant your L foot toward 10:30 into a horse stance (facing 2:00) with both fists chambered at the hip.

Wings Of Silk - Rear two-arm lock
1. Still in a horse facing 2:00, stomp his L instep with your L foot. Simultaneously, have your L hand pinch the nerve at the top of his thigh.
2. As your R arm starts to slip out of his R arm, execute a R back obscure elbow under his chin with a R back heel scoop kick to his groin.
3. Turn and small step counterclockwise with your R foot (to 10:30 with a short R step) as your R arm slips completely out of his, pinching and pinning his L arm with your own as you begin to twirl out.
4. Complete the twirl (360 degree turn) by circling your L foot counterclockwise to 10:30, ending up in a horse stance facing 2:00. Simultaneously have your R arm deliver an uppercut forearm strike to break his L elbow.  (Your L arm is still pinning opponent?s L arm to your chest.)

Conquering Shield - Front left stiff arm grab to your right lapel
1. Still in a horse stance facing 2:00, your L hand pins his L hand to your shoulder/lapel as you strike with a R inward vertical forearm against his L elbow to break it. Simultaneously, execute a R front thrusting ball kick to his R inner knee cap.
2. As your R foot lands to 2:00 in a R neutral bow, have your R arm glance up and then strike down with a R downward elbow to his L forearm. (This strike should be timed to occur as your R foot lands on the ground.)
3. With both feet planted, deliver a R upward elbow strike under his chin as your L hand positionally checks under your R armpit.
4. Follow up with a R downward heel palm claw to the bridge of his nose and eyes.

Striking Serpent’s Head - Front bear hug with arms free
1. Your R foot drops back to 8:00 into a L neutral bow (facing 2:00). Simultaneously, hook your L hand around and back of his head so that your L inner knuckle strikes his left temple or mastoid while your R palm heel strikes his face.  Your R hand then cocks into a half fist at chest level (palm up above opponent?s arms).
2. Your L hand grabs and pulls his hair back (grab above the forehead and keep your elbow down). Simultaneously pivot into a L forward bow toward 2:00 and execute a R snapping half fist (palm down) to his throat. Immediately return to a L neutral bow after the half fist strike, with your R hand chambering back to chest level (palm up).

Closing: slide your right foot up and in line with your left foot into a meditating horse, facing 12:00.
Come to attention, execute the salutation, and bow.
